Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She also was a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Her signature spiky blonde hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides simple, easy-to-learn techniques for the at-home cook in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at a young age. Her passion was for the restaurant industry by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great adventure. I couldn't learn enough couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. The chef gained an appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. Additionally, she is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for juvenile diabetics. as a speaker, guest and teacher she travels across the United States to discuss her culinary passion and career. Anne said she felt lucky in that she could communicate her love of cooking to other people.
